Lady

BBR Chinootkas Lady "Lady" is a 2003 Appaloosa mare. She is a tall chestnut mare with a large lace blanket and very little roaning. Lady is a very affectionate mare with an incredibly calm and steady disposition. Her gaits are fluid, and her stride is long-reaching. It's really quite difficult to describe how graceful and sweeping her strides are. It's even more difficult to take your eyes off her when she's moving across the pasture, sweeping along so smoothly and so long it reminds you of the subtle and power of a deep and fast moving river. She is 15.3 hands, so a few inches taller than our favored size of 15 hands, but she is just such a sweet mare with such a great temperament that we call her our gentle giant!

Lady is also Colorado Rangerbred, and her pedigree includes Ferras (9x), Old Painter (5x), Painter III (4x), Toby I (3x), Toby II (3x), Knobby (3x), Red Eagle (2x), Painter's Marvel (2x), Toby II's Patchy, Polkadott Toby, Chief of Fourmile, Hands Up, Prince Plaudit, Red Eagle's Peacock, Storm Cloud F, Chocolate Sunday, Freel's Chico, Joker B, and Patchy.
