"Foundation horses with spots, breeding, ability, and intelligence"
We are a small farm located an hour and 15 minutes northeast of St. Paul, MN, in northwestern Wisconsin, focusing on Foundation bloodlines, athleticism, personality, conformation, and Appaloosa characteristics including the Indian Shuffle. Our stallion, Sunny, is a bay dun few spot leopard who has sired a few spot, 2 snow caps, 6 leopards and near-leopards, 1 spotted blanket, and 1 characteristic. We are a family farm dedicated to breeding Appaloosas for your family. We also make every effort to educate ourselves as to the genetics of horses and our program and base our breeding plan on the newest genetic research (from The Appaloosa Project) as well as tried-and-true methods from other outstanding Appaloosa breeding programs. We provide concrete DNA information whenever possible. Our goal is a sound, beautiful horse, and we are also striving to breed purebred Appaloosas. Ask us about anything that you aren't sure of!

We spend much of our leisure time with our horses, so our horses are not only accustomed to being asked to learn new things and to do work, they are also accustomed to being affectionate friends. When they are weaned, all of our foals will be able to trailer, be bathed, be sprayed, stand for the farrier, lead nicely, and be groomed. All foals are exposed to dogs (small and medium sized), cats, ducks, and some traffic from birth. Our pastures do not have any streams running through them, but they do have a variety of terrain, with some hill, some flat, and a mix of trees and grass. Foals will also be accustomed to girths and "body hugs."
We believe in the value of the old bloodlines of the Foundation Appaloosa and are working to preserve and promote those wonderful horses. We also are committed to a breeding goal of purebred Appaloosas. Please visit International Purebred Appaloosa Association for more information! Check back often as we update our site with pictures and information. We enjoy e-mails from people, not only inquiries about our services, but also just to let us know what you are doing with your horses and your farms. We aren't afraid to incorporate a new idea into our farm life!
We have 3 horses for sale and 4 foals expected within the next 8 weeks;

We are very excited about a relatively new registry, International Purebred Appaloosa Association. IPAA is now registering scientifically accepted purebred Appaloosas, and Sunny is able to sire purebred Appaloosas, in addition to Foundation Appaloosas, Identified Appaloosas, and Appaloosa Part-breeds. We will be foaling this year our farm's first purebred Appaloosa foals in 2008! Please ask us for more information about this exciting registry or visit our links page!
